Our Mission
At Alaven, our mission is to build a world-class specialty pharmaceutical company, primarily focused in women’s health and gastroenterology. We want to achieve this by developing and marketing products of the highest quality. We plan to grow utilizing two main approaches: by developing and launching products, and by in-licensing products on reasonable commercial terms and then developing and launching them.

Our Company
Alaven Pharmaceutical is a privately held specialty pharmaceutical company located in Marietta, Georgia. We develop and market prescription and non-prescription products that treat women’s health and gastroenterological conditions. Our company was formed in 2003. We market our products using a dedicated flextime sales force in the United States. Our business philosophy is to utilize a lean operating structure and outsource or partner with firms that have experience in manufacturing, formulation development and clinical trials. We staff our workforce with well-rounded and experienced employees, provide them with a meaningful ownership position in the company, and motivate them with a compelling, result driven bonus and commission plan. Our company has assembled a strong management team with more than 60 years of cumulative experience in the pharmaceutical industry with such companies as Pfizer, Schering Plough, Schwarz Pharmaceutical, Central Pharmaceuticals, Scios and First Horizon. Our management team has a successful track record of building successful commercial organizations, developing and launching several brands in a broad range of therapeutic areas, acquiring and in-licensing products operating private and public entities, and taking companies public.

Values
We live in an environment where there are plenty of talented people in the pharmaceutical business. The challenge is to bring this talented group of individuals into the company, work cohesively as a group, channel that collective drive, and deliver results. With this in mind we expect to earn and build trust and create a successful company and …eventually change the world. In this we are very similar to a sports franchise and the DRAFT that occurs each year searching for new talent. So what does the Alaven DRAFT stand for?

D is Drive, passion and the innate desire to achieve. We are looking for people with something to prove.

A is Action. We want people that can act and do so quickly. Part of that action is the ability to take risk. We are looking for people that have taken risk...failed...and learned from their failure.

T is Trust. The tenet we live by is fairness, as we believe this is the primary way to earn each other’s trust. We have to treat each other fairly, whether we are shareholders, physicians, office staff, patients, employees or employer.
